Background

Big Ocean Marine is led by myself, Ryan Schaap.  I began working on wood boats at a young age with my father.  Throughout the years I became an experienced woodworker with a portfolio of many successful projects.  For over a decade I have worked as both a craftsman and a construction project manager.  I am an Eagle Scout and have a bachelor’s degree in construction from Michigan State University.
